The colour coating application method involves applying two coating films provided by a simultaneous application of two colours, one of which is non-magnetic. These are applied via a single coating jet (1) having two delivery outlets (101,102), to which the respective colour tints are supplied via two controlled pumps (23,24). At least the upper coating film is supplied for a specific time. The delivery rate of the upper coating film is increased at the beginning of the colour application, relative to the delivery rate for the remainder of the specific time.
