The front door has an inner surface (1) of wood and an outer surface of natural stone (4). Between the inner and outer faces is an insulating layer (2) and preferably a support layer (3), also of wood, for the outer surface. The layers are connected together by adhesive. The support layer can have slits (6) for anchoring the outer surface panels. The outer surface panels can have anchor bolts (5) which fit into the slits in the support layer. The outer surface can be formed of natural stone over silicon rubber point fittings attached to the support hanger.
