<p>The simple, reliable and durable snow chain can be mounted, when necessary, on a motor vehicle wheel (100) in the shortest possible time and in the simplest possible way, in any case on the spot, and then tightened simply, but efficiently, to the extend which will assure the safest starting of driving and driving also under unfavourable weather conditions, such as snowed and/or muddy carriageway at least at a comparatively low vehicle speed. With the snow chain according to the invention it is possible, that the two chain slings (1, 2) in a position, when they are chained separately in a diametrical direction with regard to the wheel (100), can be tightened by means of the tensioning mechanism (4) consisting of a support (41) lying tangentially to the wheel (100) and leaning against it, in which the support is equipped with two legs (42, 43) fixed in such a way, that they can swing; each of the said legs is preferably fixed on the said support at an appropriate distance from the other leg by means of the suitable bolts (44, 45); along the said legs the clip (46) can be placed in such a way, that it can be moved if wanted and fixed at a certain position, so that its unwanted movement is prevented.</p> |
