<p>A holder for presenting a sheet-like material having substantially parallel opposite side edges and a lower edge being substantially perpendicular to the opposite side edges, the holder comprising: side guiding means for engaging the opposite side edges of the sheet-like material, and supporting means for supporting the lower edge of the sheet-like material, the side guiding means and the supporting means having dimensions so as to engage an edge of the sheet-like material along a length constituting only a fraction of the total length of the respective edge, and the mutual distance between the side guiding means being less than that between the opposite side edges of the sheet-like material in a plane state thereof, so that the sheet-like material in the holder obtains a curved shape having generatrices being substantially perpendicular to the lower edge of the sheet-like material. The present holder forces the materials into a curved shape which has the advantage that newspapers, magazines etc. may be presented fully unfolded and standing up in order for a viewer to see the full front side or page and in order for the buyer to be able to engage a predominant part of the front page of the newspaper or the like.</p> |
