<p>A radioactive source of clinically relevant β-radiation for use in intravascular brachytherapy. The source comprises a starting material that after activation decays with nonclinically relevant decay to a decay product that in turn decays with clinically relevant β-decay. As very suitable starting material, tungsten can be used, which after activation produces W-188 that in turn decays to Re-188.</p> |
