Fluid leakage detection method for pipeline

摘要

The method allows the leakage point and the leakage rate to be determined by causing a pressure variation in the fluid pipeline (2) and detecting the pressure variation characteristic at different points (P1,P2) along the pipeline. A mathematical simulation model is used for calculating the expected pressure variation characteristic at a given intermediate point, compared with the actual pressure variation characteristic, with adjustment of the position and leakage rate of a leakage point in the simulation model, until the compared characteristics are the same.
