<p>A disk casing comprises a casing body having a storage chamber capable of storing a disk in a rotatable condition, a support member opening formed in the storage chamber in a manner to enable a chucking member to pressure contact with the disk from outside, and a head opening formed in the storage chamber such that a head adapted to perform reading and/or recording of signals can access the disk; and a shutter mounted to the casing body and adapted to cover the support member opening and the head opening at the time of closing and slide along a front edge of the casing body at least in one direction at the time of opening to open the support member opening and the head opening, a frontmost edge of the shutter projecting forward beyond the frontmost edge of the casing body.</p> |
