<p>A device for sterilization of water, preferably drinking water, by the use of means for electrolytic release of silver as silver ions in the water, wherein a pump is arranged at a water catchment. A flow tube (2) is provided at the pump, said flow tube (2) having a first end (3) connected to said pump and a second open end, and a chamber (4) is provided to receive water from said flow tube (2). At least one silver electrode means (9) is provided in said chamber (4) as an anode to cooperate electrolytically with an electrode means functioning as a cathode (15). A solar cell (7) is provided as a power supply, and an outlet (8) of said chamber (4) is provided to restore a fraction of the water flowing through said flow tube (2) back into said water catchment.</p> |
