<p>Flowable granular carpet cleaning compositions which do not contain borax or boric acid salts and which are readily shaken or strewn onto a carpet needing cleaning is disclosed. The compositions comprise as essential constituents: comminuted cellulose, zeolite, an inorganic salt system comprising of (a) an alkali metal carbonate, (b) an alkali metal bicarbonate, and (c) an alkali metal sesquicarbonate wherein the ratios of (a):(b):(c) is 1:0.5-2.5:0.5-2.5, one or more organic solvents, an organic or inorganic acid, anionic surfactant, and water.</p> |
