The assembly includes two individual guide rails (2) formed as mirror images of each other. These can be fastened at the end to frame parts of the electric device. In the assembled position, the guide rails (2) lie with a rear surface (1) on an abutment surface of the frame part. Their sides having guide grooves are arranged opposite each other. The fastening arrangement includes two groups of parts. A first group is formed on the rear surface (1) of the guide rails (2). When the guide rail (2) is mounted, its fastening mechanism is inserted into a transverse opening (3) of a T shaped cut out section (4) in the frame part (5) of the electric device. The guide rail (2) is then moved axially into the long part (7) of the T shaped opening (4). The fastening arrangement then embraces the long edges (8) of the opening and fastens onto a surface (10) of the frame part (5) opposite the abutment surface (9). In another manner, the fastening arrangement of the guide rails (2) are arranged in a staggered arrangement on the rear surfaces (1) of the rails (2). When the rails are laid together the respective fastening arrangements are positioned in a staggered arrangement relative to each other. A second group of parts is formed as spring tongues (11). These extend backwards relative to the axial movement of the guide rails on assembly. They have a free end (13) which extends over the rear surface of the respective guide rail.
