A door lock for a washing machine or a dishwasher has a clamp (14) connected to the door and a locking component (16) that is moved by means of water pressure. The component (16) is a push rod that moves in a linear fashion and has a ramp (26) that comes into contact with the clamp (14) when the door is closed.
