USE OF A COMBINATION OF SILICONE COMPOUNDS AS A COUPLING AGENT IN SILICA-LOADED ELASTOMER COMPOSITIONS

The use of an effective amount of a special combination of silicone compounds consisting of a combination of: at least one functionalised polyorganosiloxane (POS) comprising, per molecule, at least one functional siloxyl unit (MO1) capable of being chemically and/or physically bound to surface hydroxylated sites on the silica particles; and at least one functionalised organosilane (OS) comprising, per molecule, at least one functional group (G1) capable of being chemically and/or physically bound to the MO1 units and/or the hydroxylated sites on the silica particles, as well as at least one other functional group (G2) capable of being chemically and/or physically bound to the elastomeric chains; as a silica-elastomer coupling agent in compositions of one or more natural or synthetic elastomers including a siliceous material as the reinforcing filler, for the production of articles consisting of one or more elastomers, is disclosed.
