DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM

摘要

A conjugate of a bioactive compound, for instance an anti-tumour agent, with a polymeric carrier is encapsulated into a vesicle, for instance a non-ionic synthetic surfactant-based vesicle, to alter its bio distribution, prolonging plasma residence time and increasing localisation in tumour tissue. The vesicular system has improved controlled release by cleavage of active drug from the conjugate as compared to the non-encapsulated conjugate.
