The method involves applying the information to a part of the vehicle after or during its individualisation. The vehicle individual information is applied by a controlled laser by burning the information into a vehicle part associated with the vehicle to be or having been individualised. Immediately after the information has been applied to the part it is attached to the vehicle. The information can be burnt into a plastic or lacquered part and a controller automatically detects the individual identity of the vehicle to determine the individual information to be applied.
