<p>A device for testing tyres resting on a base, including a unit for remotely acquiring data on the wheel in question, which unit includes a digital camera (3) and a video board for digitally imaging the wheel, a unit (9, 12) for scanning the resulting image to give data indicative of at least the outline of the tyre, a computing unit (13) for computing tyre deflection on the basis of the outline thus determined, and a signalling unit (15) for indicating whether or not the tyre is properly inflated, on the basis of the computed deflection.
