There is proposed a method and a device for tooth treatment in which the tooth can be treated with an indirect technique in conjunction with an intra-oral video camera whose target is displayed on a monitor. For this purpose, a screen (2, 6) designed such that emergence of particles from the patient's mouth is prevented, on the one hand, and the treatment handpiece (1) can be inserted in the patient's mouth and guided toward the site to be treated, on the other hand, is arranged on the patient's mouth.
