Air conditioner for interior of electric car

The air-conditioner has an adsorber- or absorber-heat pump circuit with an evaporator (41), a desorber (35) and a condenser (39), whereby the braking resistance (28) of the car acts as a heat source for the desorber. The air to be passed into the cabin is cooled down at the evaporator and the waste heat from the condenser is conducted away to the atmosphere outside. A zeolite housing acts as a desorber. There are inlet and outlet valves between the evaporator and this housing, between the condenser and this housing and also between the condenser and the evaporator. Water serves as a cooling agent.
