The disclosure relates to an assembly for the cutting machining of workpieces of wood and/or wood substitutes, in particular a milling assembly, with an electrical drive motor on the shaft (1) of which the tool is mounted directly. To facilitate this, a receiving section of smaller diameter than the shaft connects at the shaft end with a radial shaft step (4) and the tool has a bore which matches the receiving section and is provided with chucking means (10) for securing the tool (2) against the shaft step (4). To improve the chucking precision and true running of the tool without increasing the relatively small diameter of the drive motor shaft, the receiving section at the end of the motor shaft takes the form of a truncated cone (3) and the bore in the tool is a hollow cone (5) at least in the receiving region.
