In a golf club head comprising a shell, a centre of gravity and a local zone which is an area towards which the downward concavity of the medial ridge 60, or the front-to-rear curvature of the bottom wall or the heel-to-toe curvature of the bottom wall, the head in a ball address position has its centre of gravity in substantially vertical alignment with the local zone (Figure 53). The description also discusses a head in which the bottom wall terminates in a bevel angle less than 45{ (Figure 46). The claims refer to a head in which the medial ridge has the same level throughout its length, and a head whose bottom wall has localised undulant and angled surface extents. |
