PURPOSE:To prevent the copy of the record contents by recording at least one of the checking data of a recording program of a normal using area and an omitted part of the recording program to a special using area. CONSTITUTION:A special using area SN+3, for example, is prepared in addition to the normal using areas S0-SN of a disk operating system. Then the checking data on a recording program of the normal using area and/or an omitted part of the recording program is recorded to the area SN+3. The checking data of the special using area and/or the omitted part of the recording program is not copied and only the recording program of the normal using area is copied when they are copied to another recording medium by a copy program. Thus the recording program is not carried out normally when a copied recording program is executed owing to the check using the checking data and/or the omission of the recording program. Furthermore no error is displayed by a copy program at the time of copying.
