NEW MATERIAL:(3Z,6Z)-cis-9,10-epoxy-1,3,6-heneicosatriene expressed by formula I and (3Z,6Z)-cis-9,10-epoxy-1,3,6-eicosatriene expressed by formula II. USE:Said substances control sex pheromone of Hyphantria cunea and are useful as a component of attractive composition having excellent attraction effect. PREPARATION:For instance, (5Z,8Z)-cis-2,3-epoxy-5,8,10-undecatriene-1-ol expressed by formula III is reacted with tosyl chloride (chlorinated p-toluene sulfonic acid) in a pyridine solvent to obtain (3Z,6Z)-cis-9,10-epoxy-1,3,6- undecatrienyltosylate and said compound is purified, then reacted with lithium di(n-decyl) cuprate in an ether solvent at a low temperature. After the reaction, resultant compound is purified using silica gel chromatography to afford the compound expressed by formula I. |
