摘要 PURPOSE:To invariably keep the steering stability of a four-wheel steering device and further improve it by detecting the roll rigidity of each of front and rear suspensions, and correcting the steering angle of rear wheels in response to the magnitude of this roll rigidity. CONSTITUTION:A control device 20 calculates the lateral G with a means 25 based on outputs of a vehicle speed sensor 21 and a steering sensor 22. The steering angle of rear wheels is determined by a means 26 based on the lateral G and outputs of the steering sensor 22 and a shift position sensor 30. A motor driving circuit 16a is controlled by a means 27 based on the steering angle of rear wheels and the output of the rotation position detector 24 of an electric motor 16 steering rear wheels. The roll rigidity of each of front and rear suspensions is detected by a means 28 based on outputs of front and rear height sensors 23a and 23b. The steering angle of rear wheels is corrected by a means 29 is response to the magnitude of the roll rigidity.
