PURPOSE:To precisely decide whether a prescribed picture element is the picture element in a circular pattern or not by obtaining the mean value of two representative values of each group by considering two segments of line extending in directions nearly opposed to each other from a prescribed picture, and executing the decision based on this means value. CONSTITUTION:The representative value of each difference DELTAij of every segment of line Li is obtained for every one of plural segments of line Li extending toward circumference from the prescribed picture element P0 as taking each picture element data fij corresponding to each picture element Pij distant by plural prescribed distances rij (j=1,2... m) into consideration. Besides, the representative value to represent each difference DELTAij is obtained for every segment of line Li, and the mean value of two representative values in obtained for every group as considering two segments of line extending in the nearly opposite directions one group, and it is decided whether the prescribed picture element P0 is the picture element in the circular pattern or not based on this means value. Thus, it can be precisely recognized whether the prescribed picture element P0 designated on a radiation picture is the picture element in the circular pattern or not. |
