The present invention is an active speaker system having an input signal monitor means to monitor the input signal level and generate a power-On/Off command signal controlling the main system power of the build in audio amplifier of the present invention active speaker system . The present invention active speaker system needs no extra control wires, and is therefore highly compatible with all conventional audio sources.
