<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method wherein a copper pipe disposed in a limited space is reliably and easily connected in a short time without the occurrence of leakage of water. CONSTITUTION:A second flange 2, an outer sleeve 3, and a first flange 4 are fitted in the outer surface of a pipe from the cut end of an existing copper pipe 1, a first flange 4 is positioned at a pipe end, and an inner sleeve 5 is inserted in the copper pipe 1 and positioned at a pipe end. A taper is formed at the end of the outer sleeve 3 and a taper is formed on the inner surface of the first flange 4. The tapers are brought into a butt against each other, the second flange 2 is pulled to the first flange 4, the taper of the outer sleeve 3 is caused to lodge in the taper of the first flange 4, and the first flange 4 is fixed to the end of the copper pipe 1.</p> |
