A molding (2) is extrusion formed by continuously changing the width and thickness of a decorative portion (21) by an upper molding (2A) and a side molding (2C), and the overall length of the molding (2) is formed continuously without adding to a process such as cutting. During the series of extrusion forming, a rain water discharging groove (28) is provided in the inner circumferential sidewall of the expanded thick portion (21a) of the decorative portion (21) at the time of the continuous extrusion molding. The rain water discharging groove (28) having a good damming function is formed with high rigidity in the decorative portion (21) of the side molding (2C). Moreover, the decorative portion (21) of the upper molding (2A) where the rain water discharging groove (28) is not formed is made narrow, whereby the molding is made lighter and the cost thereof is reduced.
