PURPOSE:To dispense with the fitting/removing work of a rotary metal to the axial end of a work and facilitate the fitting/removing of the work to a machine by swayably coupling a hollow flange with a block fixed to the pulley end face of a hollow shaft and providing a contactable claw with the work end face on a sleeve movable in this flange. CONSTITUTION:After a work 7 is mounted on a work receiving bed, a hydraulic cylinder 15 is advanced, the claw 27 of a sleeve 24 is advanced via a connecting pin 26 coupled with a main spindle 14 and the outer periphery recess groove on the front side of this main spindle 14. On the other hand, the claw 27 is rotated by the rotation of a pulley 17 via a block 21, a hollow flange 23 and the sleeve 24. Under this condition, the tip of the claw 27 is brought into contact with the end face of the work 7, then only rotation is performed, when the claw 27 reaches the driving notch section of the axial end 7a of the work, the claw 27 is further advanced, the advance of the claw 27 is stopped when it reaches its advance limit. Subsequently, the center of a tailstock spindle is inserted into the center of the work, and the fitting work is completed. |
