PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability upon the photoelectromotive element in high photoelectroconversion efficiency yet under severe environment by repairing pin holes made in a transparent layer. SOLUTION: The title photoelectromotive element is composed of the first transparent layer 103, a photoelectromotive layer 104 made of a semiconductor and the second electrode successively deposited on a substrate 101 covered with a metallic layer 103 at least mainly comprising copper. In such a composition, due to the existence of pin holes in the part of the first transparent layer 103, at least the surface part of the metallic layer 102 not covered with the first transparent layer 103 is covered with copper oxide 107. Besides, the photoelecctromotive element is manufactured by oxidizing from the surface thereof after the deposition of the first transparent layer 103. |
