PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold memory contents for a long time when exchanging a battery at an electric product with memory function for domestic use, etc. SOLUTION: A diode 26A is arranged between an oscillation signal input terminal 21B and a reset signal input terminal 21C of a microcomputer 21 provided with a RAM 21A. When exchanging a battery 22, the voltage of cathode terminal 26B of the diode 26A is lowered by utilizing a LOW signal outputted from an IC 24 for reset, and power consumption is reduced by stopping oscillating an oscillator 23A of clock circuit 23. Therefore, the holding of memory contents in the RAM 21A can be guaranteed for a long time even by a small capacitance capacitor 25.
