PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable image not causing the fogging of a surface part nor losing sharpness, with lapse of time or due to environmental change. SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with a toner carrier 1, a toner regulation means 7 and an image carrier 9. Then, one-component magnetic toner is attached to the surface of the carrier 1 while regulating toner thickness by the regulation means 7. By pressing and bringing the carrier 1 to which the toner is attached into contact with the carrier 9 on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, a toner image is developed on the surface of the carrier 9. In such a case, the carrier 1 is provided with an inner layer 3 consisting of an elastic body and an outer layer 4 generating a magnetic field for carrying toner. As the layer 4, a magnetic substance obtained by dispersing magnetic powder and polyamide resin powder including an electrical conductivity imparting material in binder consisting of rubber or elastomer is used. |
