PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor used in association with a heating/ pressing roll fixing device for minimizing the problem of the dispersion of gloss. SOLUTION: One or more resistance temperature detecting RTD sensor elements 150 are used and a sensor member or element 152 forming a part of the sensor 150 can be made of a material such as platinum or nickel whose thickness is approximately 0.0005 in. The sensor member 152 can be manufactured by using a well-known photoetching technique. The sensor member can be provided with plural independent segments arranged with a parallel pattern. A lead element 156 for imparting an adequate potential to the respective independent segments can be manufactured by photoetching as well. The region nearly an inch square of each pattern is covered. |
