FINE SPHERICAL BODY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide conductive fine spherical bodies having adequate compressive deformability and deformation restorability and excellent reliability and a liquid crystal display element formed by using the same. SOLUTION: The value of K defined by the equation K=(3/√2).F.S<1/2> .R<-1/2> (where, F denotes the load value (kgf) in 10% compression deformation of the fine spherical body), S denotes compressive displacement (mm) and R denotes the radius (mm) of the fine spherical bodies) of the fine spherical bodies is >=50kgf/mm<2> to <250kgf/mm<2> at 20 deg.C and the restoration rate after the compression deformation is 15 to 100% at 20 deg.C. The conductive fine spherical bodies 29 consist of such fine spherical bodies and conductive layers formed on the surfaces of the fine spherical bodies. This liquid crystal display element is composed by using these conductive fine spherical bodies 29.
