PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a color measurement value from including an error due to temperature change in a color measuring device with a color measuring means for measuring the color on the surface of an object without any contact. SOLUTION: The color on a surface 1 of an object is measured by a colorimeter 2 and at the same time the temperature of the surface 1 of the object is measured by a thermometer 3. In a color difference calculating device 4, color measurement values (L',a', and b') are corrected by a temperature measurement value t. The correction is equivalent to the conversion of the color measurement values (L*, a*, and b*) to a value at a reference temperature according to a correction coefficient which is preset for each color component according to the color of the surface of the object and the difference between a preset reference temperature and the temperature measurement value t. The difference between the conversion value and the color (at the reference temperature) of each color standard plate is outputted as a color differenceΔE.
