PURPOSE:To make the tip of a brush easy to shape, to make the flow of ink smooth at the beginning of writing, to make the tip of the brush easy to become soft and to prevent the generation of a blur by treating the tip of the brush with an aqueous solution containing a specific amount of an alkali salt of a styrene/acrylic resin having a specific wt. average MW. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a brush is treated with an aqueous solution containing 0.01-20 wt.% of an alkali salt of a styrene/acrylic resin having a wt. average MW of 2000-30000. As the alkali metal salt of the styrene/acrylic resin, a sodium salt, a calcium salt, a hydroxyamine salt, a potassium salt and an ammonium salt are designated. When clothlike laver is soak in the aqueous alkali salt solution, the tip of a brush is made easier to shape and writing is made smooth at the beginning of writing. The use amount of said laver is pref. set to 0.01-20% by wt. of the total amount of the aqueous solution in the sum amount with the alkali salt of the styrene/acrylic resin. |
