<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a web from passing the surface of a cutter drum while it is rubbed against it at the precut stage and also prevent the web from being disturbed at the cutting end part at the time of cutting or after completing cutting by stabilizing the cutting at the time of cutting by opening an air vent hole in the outside of a cutter drum. SOLUTION: At a precut stage, a web 1 passes around a second air vent hole 72 in a cutter drum 42 under floated condition. Namely, the web 1 will not pass the surface while it is being rubbed against the surface of a cutter drum 42. During cutting, the web 1 is moved near or closely fitted to a first air vent hole 71 in the cutter drum 42, and a tension and shearing force are given to the cut part of the web 1 with which a knife 55 is touched. Namely, the cutting is stabilized. Then the top end part of the web 1 can be wound up on a winding core 2 by the air discharged from the first air vent hole 71. At the completion of cutting, the tail part of the web 1 is peeled off from the cutter drum 42 by the air discharged from the first air vent hole 71, and moved to an old winding core side.</p> |
