The slot that initially receives the band or firehose is formed by a fixed journal and a retractable one. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The flexible element (i.e. band or firehose) is wound-up into a roll using a sleeve bearing (7) which is mounted on a winding shaft (4) and has a crank handle attached to it at one end and a support plate (3) at the opposite end. A slot for receiving the flexible element and initially fixing it into position is formed between two parallel journals (1,2) protruding from the support plate. One of these journals (1) can be pulled through the plate in an axial direction. The crank handle includes an arm that forms a stopper for the axially movable journal. |
