PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for intensifying original image data capable of minimizing an artifact caused by an image noise and aliasing while enhancing the clarity of an image especially ralative to an IAC structure. SOLUTION: This system for intensifying original image data is one type of data creation for enhancing the clarity of an image created based on CT scan data employing an intensifying mask 56. In one practical example, the intensifying mask 56 is generated by generating differential image data 62 based on original image data and image data 60 obtained through a low-pass filter. The CT number of the original image data is allocated to an image area, e.g. a bone, an air and a soft tissue, and data contained in a differential image is totally or partially suppressed 66 in accordance with the sorting 64 of the CT number 64. After suppressing some differential image data, the clarity of an image is enhanced by combining with bining 68 a set of differential image data called the intensifying mask 56 with the original image data. |
