PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-base ink which is nonblotting and can give a print having improved water resistance and fixability by adding a suspension containing a polymer containing adsorbed dye or pigment and having specified properties to a water-base ink. SOLUTION: A suspension containing a polymer containing an adsorbed dye or pigment, desirably having an acid value (JIS K0070) of 3-100mgKOH/g, and a glass transition point of 20 deg.C or above and having a product of its surface tension (dyn/cm), its viscosity (cP) and its mean particle diameter (Mm) of 0.1-11. The polymer is desirably one comprising units derived from a diol component represented by the formula (wherein R is a 1-4C alkyl; A is a 2-4C alkylene; (x) and (y) are each 1 or greater; and x+y=2-7 on the average), more desirably at least one polymer (e.g. a polyester obtained from a compound of the formula and maleic acid) selected from among polyesters and polyesteramides. |
