PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a prosthesis shell which has superior shape retaining properties and adequate strength and is easily shrunk/deformed by heat along the shape of a shaping core, and further, can reconstruct a deficient bone part or a region to be made up for by a prosthesis with a corporeal (soft) bone without any deformation by implanting the shell filled with the bone, and is absorbed into the body after reconstruction to disappear. SOLUTION: This prosthesis shell 1 with an opening part 1a is formed of a long fiber layer consisting of long fibers of intracorporeal decomposable/ absorbable polymer welded together in an entangled and stacked form with a thickness of 0.1-0.5mm. The shell is manufactured by discharging an intracorporeal decomposable/absorbable polymer solution obtained by melting the polymer in a solvent in the form of fiber from a nozzle, then spraying the fiber equally to the outer surface of a core for molding the shell 1 and curing the fiber. |
