PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for economically and efficiently producing color filter with which a liquid crystal display having good flatness and excellent image quality is embodied. SOLUTION: The regions where colored pixels are formed on a transparent substrate 1 are first irradiated with a laser beam to transpirate the irradiated parts and to form grooves 4 in this processing for forming the color filter having the colored pixels of at least three colors formed on the transparent substrate 1. Colored compsn. 5, in which coloring pigment is dispersed, is then packed in these grooves 4. The colored compsn. 5 in the regions exclusive of the grooves 4 and the parts protruding from the transparent substrate surface 1 on the grooves 4 is removed. The colored compsn. on the grooves 4 is cured to form the colored pixels 6. |
