PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform the initial charging of DC capacitor with comparatively simple configuration without depending on any auxiliary power source. SOLUTION: A self-exciting reactive power compensator 3 provided with a transformer 8 for interlock which is connected to a system bus, inverter 7 for outputting a compensated voltage corresponding to the load variation of system bus through the transformer 8 and DC capacitor 6 connected to the inverter 7 is connected to the system bus having the variable load and the DC capacitor 6 is charged through the transformer 8 and inverter 7 using a system power source 1 as a charging power source, so that dependency on the auxiliary power source can be canceled. |
