PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial tire suitable for a heavy load carrying vehicle. SOLUTION: The subject radial tire is provided with a crown reinforcement, at least two work crown plys 31, 32 which are constructed of crossed non- expandable metallic cords forming an angle of 10 deg.-45 deg. in the circumference direction XX', and two limiting blocks 40 consisting of a single ply 40 constructed of a metallic cord oriented at an angle of 0 deg.-10 deg. respectively. The limiting blocks 40 are separated from each other so as to be arranged between a carcass reinforcement and the work crown ply 32. These two limiting blocks 40 are connected together by means of an additional reinforcement 41 so as to be centered. In this reinforcement, the tensile rigidity is equal to a half of that of the most expandable ply in the limiting block 40. |
