PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent recording quality from being deteriorated when light ink and dark ink are recorded by being superimposed with each other in an apparatus wherein recording is carried out by using light and dark two colors of the same color ink. SOLUTION: Any output image signal of '0' (no recording), '127' (recording with light ink), and '255' (recording with dark ink) is generated according to a value of an input image signal in processing of the image signal. That is, when recording is carried out by using light and dark two kinds of ink of the same color, the input image signal is made ternary, and two values thereof are made recording signals of a head wherein dark ink and light ink are respectively discharged. |
