PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a case of a portable telephone set by saving a space in the portable telephone set. SOLUTION: The identification card reader is built in a case of a portable telephone set which includes a touch key pad, a plate 30 located under the touch key pad and having contacts 34, 36 whose coil is started by a key 32 of the touch key pad to operate the telephone set and a slot located under the plate 30 to insert the identification card 24 to be in contact with a connector 44 of the identification card 24. The connector of the identification card is arranged under a key 18 of the touch key pad at the side opposite to the identification card of the plate and the connector and the identification card are connected by contacts 46, 48 supported by the connector via an air gap 50 of the plate. |
