Filter, for operation with filter aid, where raw fluid enters at the base and passes through a distributor (9). This distributor is in the form of a perforated tube, closed at the top, which tends to increase liquid pressure under flow conditions so that a portion passes through the perforations and the remainder passes through a gap (14) between the distributor and the vessel wall.
