PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a slide gear shaft on which a slide gear slides from deflecting in case where the slide gear is used to drive a recovery unit with a driving means of a recording medium carrying unit. SOLUTION: A driving gear 42 which is slid with a lever member 91 has the first gear 42a which is always linked with a carriage motor which drives a carriage roller and the second gear 42b which engages with an intermediate idle gear 82 on the recovery unit side which recovers non discharge or poor discharge of ink of a printing head. The slide gear shaft 46 supports the driving gear 42 in a slidable manner, making the second gear 42b side a free end. The free end of the slide gear shaft 46 is supported with a supporting member 47. |
