<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate the load of treating an ash containing a noxious metal component by obtaining a carbide through carbonization of a dried product obtained by heating and drying an organic waste containing moisture, and at the same time, burning an unburnt component, a harmful component and an odoriferous component of an exhaust gas and also generating steam using a heat retained in the exhaust gas. SOLUTION: In a drying step 1, an organic waste W containing moisture is indirectly heated and dried with by help of steam S to obtain a dried product D with a moisture content of about 10%. In a carbonization step 2, the dried product D is indirectly heated by at least a part of the heat of combustion generated by an auxiliary fuel F1 and a carbonizing gas GX, and then is carbonized to obtain a carbide C. In a combustion step 3, the exhaust gases G1, G2 generated in the drying step 2, are heated by the heat of combustion generated by the carbonizing gas GX, so that all the unburnt component, harmful component and odoriferous component contained in the exhaust gases G1, G2 and the carbonizing gas GX are burned, made harmless and odorless. Also, in a steam generating step 4, the steam S to be used in the drying step 1 is recovered by the heat retained in an exhaust gas G3 generated from the combustion step 3.</p> |
