PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter having an occlusion preventing function capable of surely preventing blood from flowing into a catheter when a heparin is locked. SOLUTION: A catheter with an occlusion preventing balloon comprises an outside catheter 2 having plural side holes 2a on the outer periphery of the forward end part and a connecting tube 5a communicated with an inner cavity 2b at the base, and an inside catheter 3 which is inserted in the inner cavity 2b of the outside catheter 2 and a connecting tube 5b communicated with an inner cavity 3b at the base. The side wall of the inside catheter 3 opposite to the side holes 2a of the outside catheter 2 is provided with a balloon 6, a balloon inner cavity 7a for feeding gas or a liquid to the balloon 6, and plural communicating holes 7b for communicating the balloon inner cavity 7a with the balloon, and the base of the inside catheter 3 is provided with a connecting tube 5c communicated with the balloon inner cavity 7a. |
