PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydrophilic non-woven fabric suitable in the fields of medical treatments, hygiene, and agriculture by forming the nonwoven fabric of continuous filaments based on a polylactlde and subsequently imparting a solution containing a surfactant to the non-woven fabric. SOLUTION: The copolymer of L-lactic acid with D-lactic acid is melt- extruded from a melt extruder, preferably from its spinneret having a hole diameter of 0.2-2mm, preferably 0.1-2mm, through a filter at a temperature of 140-280 deg.C, preferably 150-289 deg.C, at a speed of 0.1-5m/s, cooled and subsequently randomly accumulated on a belt moving at a speed of 10-4,000m/s through an air sucker to form a web comprising continuous filaments having a diameter of 0.1-100μm. The web is subsequently subjected to a coating treatment, a spraying treatment or a foam-applying treatment using a solution to impart hydrophilicity to the web. The solution is obtained by adding 0.1-15% of a plasticizer, 0.1-5% of a monomer and 0.01-5% of a stabilizer and a coloring agent to an aqueous solution containing a surfactant such as a polyethersilicone copolymer in a concentration of 5-25%. |
