<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform tuning for the club head and to control club head vibration for the betterment of the sound and feel that the player perceives when the head strikes the ball by providing the head with tuning and vibration control means. SOLUTION: No undesired vibration occurs when the front face hits a ball at the center of gravity of a main body 12 of a club head 10. Even when a spot near a heel edge 16 or a toe edge 18 of the main body 12 meets the ball, again, undesired vibration is neutralized thanks to ribs 62, 64, 66, 68, 70, a geometrically designed region 56, and a ring 58. Other kinds of vibration are also damped by the ribs 62, 64, 66, 68, 70, the geometrically designed region 56, and the ring 58.
